About Daily Learner News

Daily Learner News is a free language-learning project from Lingualism that helps learners build their language skills through real current events.

Our goal is simple: make language learning part of your daily routine.

Instead of artificial textbook dialogues or isolated vocabulary lists, every lesson is based on a real recent news story, carefully adapted for learners. By reading and listening to authentic current events every day, you naturally expand your vocabulary, improve your reading and listening skills, and stay connected with the world.

A Project from Lingualism

For more than fifteen years, Lingualism has published high-quality language-learning books, readers, audio courses, and other resources created in collaboration with native speakers and language professionals.

Daily Learner News explores a different idea.

Rather than replacing our published materials, it complements them by offering free, regularly updated lessons built around today’s news. We hope these short daily lessons encourage learners to engage with their target language more consistently and confidently.

How the Lessons Are Created

Every lesson begins with a real recent news story from reputable news sources.

Our automated system selects suitable stories, adapts them into learner-friendly language, generates supporting features such as vocabulary, translations, audio, and illustrations, and prepares the complete lesson for publication.

Before publication, each lesson also undergoes an automated review designed to:

  • verify important facts against the original reporting,
  • improve the language,
  • ensure the lesson matches the intended difficulty level,
  • and identify potential issues before publication.

Links to the original news sources are included with every lesson so you can explore the reporting in greater depth if you wish.

Growing One Language at a Time

Daily Learner News currently offers lessons in:

  • Arabic
  • Russian

Each language has its own dedicated website with lessons specifically designed for learners of that language.

We plan to expand to additional languages over time while continuing to improve the quality, consistency, and learning experience across the entire project.

Our Approach to AI

Daily Learner News makes extensive use of artificial intelligence throughout the lesson creation process.

We believe AI can make high-quality language-learning content available more quickly and to more people than would otherwise be possible. At the same time, we believe it’s important to be transparent about how these lessons are produced.

Although every lesson passes through multiple automated quality checks before publication, AI-generated content is not perfect. Occasionally, mistakes may appear in the text, translations, vocabulary, audio, illustrations, or other lesson components.

For this reason, Daily Learner News is intended primarily as a language-learning resource rather than an authoritative source of news. If you need definitive information about a current event, we encourage you to consult the original news sources and other reputable news organizations.

We’d Love Your Feedback

Daily Learner News is an ongoing project, and we’re continually refining the lessons and adding new features.

If you notice an error, have a suggestion, would like to request a new language, or simply want to share your thoughts, we’d be delighted to hear from you.

Thank you for visiting Daily Learner News. We hope it becomes a small but enjoyable part of your language-learning journey every day.
